HBOT Mechanism

Hypoxic TissueHypoxic Tissue -

HBOT increases plasma and tissue oxygen tensions 10 times which helps tissues to maintain tissue viability without RBC’s Neutrophil Oxidative

Killing – Neutrophils (WBCs)Killing – Neutrophils (WBCs)

HBOT aids in the treatment of infection by enhancing white blood cell action and potentiating germ-killing antibiotics.

Suppression of multiplication in bacteriaSuppression of multiplication in bacteria -

High oxygen tensions suppress growth of streptococcus and anaerobes.

Augmentation of Antibiotic effectivenessAugmentation of Antibiotic effectiveness -

Increased oxygen tension allows oxygen dependent active transport to bring in antibiotics across bacterial cell walls.

Enhanced fibroblast functionEnhanced fibroblast function -

prevents unnecessary cicatrix (scar) formation.

AngiogenesisAngiogenesis –

Increased oxygen tension stimulates the growth of new blood vessels to locations with reduced circulation, improving blood flow to areas with arterial blockage.

Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy Center

Experience The Healing Power Of Pure Oxygen

  • HBOT is a USFDA approved globally recognized modern medical therapy but unfortunately it has had a very low penetration across the country; where developed nations has thousands of such centers, India, even with such a huge population, barely has 50 such.
We, Airox Technologies Pvt. Ltd, the directors of Oxyzone Healthcare have taken up this initiate to introduce this therapy to you.
With our prior expertise and experience in this field, we strive to provide you with a world class and first of its kind HBOT experience in Aurangabad.
It is manned by experienced and trained staff and doctors and gets referral patients from most of the super-speciality hospitals and specialist doctors of town.

Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy Center

    What is HBOT?

  • Hyperbaric oxygen therapy involves breathing pure oxygen in a pressurized room or tube. In a hyperbaric oxygen therapy chamber, the air pressure is increased to three times higher than normal air pressure.
Hyperbaric Medicine is based on significantly increasing the level of Oxygen O2 in the blood generating the strong Hyperoxia adequate for medical therapies. Hyperoxia is created by dissolving the O2 in the blood plasma that is achieved by breathing it under a higher atmospheric pressure inside specially designed chambers.
In the chamber, the oxygen concentration within a person’s blood plasma and fluid is 15 to 20 times greater than the normal. Hyperoxia produces a wide chain of physiological process in the patient organism and is prescribed by the physicians for diverse treatment to deal with various diseases. Our blood carries the oxygen throughout our body. This helps fight bacteria and stimulate the release of substances called growth factors and stem cells, which promote healing.
  • How does HBOT works?

  • When we normally breathe air (with 21% O2) at sea level pressure, most tissue needs of Oxygen are met from the Oxygen combined to haemoglobin, which is 95%+ saturated. Now, even if we increase the Oxygen content of air, haemoglobin can’t carry more oxygen as it is almost completely saturated. Under barometric pressures, oxygen gets dissolved into plasma and thus this dissolved oxygen is carried to different tissues. The higher pressure during hyperbaric oxygen treatment pushes more oxygen into solution. Secondly, haemoglobin is a large molecule that has difficulty passing through capillary walls (cannot pass through about 90% of capillaries in the body). About 98% of Oxygen in the body is bound to haemoglobin. Because Oxygen is a small molecule, if it is dissolved in the blood, it can easily pass through capillary walls. This additional O2 in solution is almost sufficient to meet tissue needs without contribution from O2 bound to haemoglobin and is responsible for most of the beneficial effects of this therapy.
  • Process of Treatment ?

  • Initial compression for 30 minutes Treatment for 90 minutes with air breaks (10 minutes every 30 minutes is standard). Decompression for 30 minutes All regimens use 100% O2. Most use 2.4 atm Maximum tolerated is 3 atm.

Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy Result

  • To benefit from hyperbaric oxygen therapy, you'll likely need more than one session. The number of sessions depends on your medical condition. Some conditions, such as carbon monoxide poisoning, might be treated in three visits. Others, such as non-healing wounds, may require 20 to 40 treatments. Hyperbaric oxygen therapy alone can often effectively treat decompression sickness, arterial gas embolism and severe carbon monoxide poisoning. To effectively treat other conditions, hyperbaric oxygen therapy is used as part of a comprehensive treatment plan and administered with other therapies and drugs that fit your individual needs.
